Conditions We Treat at Our Centerville Location

Asthma

Cincinnati Children’s treats severe, complex and difficult-to-treat asthma, including preventing hospitalization for asthma. Our care team provides personalized care for each patient through state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, which includes allergy testing; exercise-induced asthma tests; and sleep studies.

We develop strategies that help families prevent emergency department visits and hospital admissions for asthma. The asthma center coordinates with your child’s school and offers technology-based monitoring, effective follow-up systems and self-management training on top of personalized medical therapy.

On average, our center treats more than 1,600 patients with asthma every year. Less than 3.5% of these patients require hospital admission for their asthma symptoms.

Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD)

Experts at the world-class Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Center include specialists from pulmonology, cardiology, radiology and neonatology. Our center offers advanced imaging for earlier diagnosis and improved treatment options. Our Centerville location provides outpatient care to treat BPD.

Sleep Apnea

As one of the most robust pediatric sleep medicine centers in the nation, Cincinnati Children’s brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts in complex obstructive sleep apnea. This team of specialists includes pediatric pulmonology; neurology; and ear, nose and throat (ENT). We diagnose and manage sleep apnea in both healthy children and those with underlying conditions.

Our team collaborates face-to-face prior to your clinic appointment to review your child’s case and develop a comprehensive care plan. If your child needs a sleep study to diagnose their sleep apnea, our Sleep Center is conveniently located at our Liberty Campus.

We have treated more than 1,700 patients since our Complex Obstructive Sleep Apnea Center opened in 2013. Families travel to us from 34 states and eight countries for our team’s sleep apnea care.
