Eligibility
The Academic General Pediatrics Fellowship is open to US citizens or permanent residents who have completed either three years of pediatric residency training or scientists who have completed a PhD or comparable degree in a field related to child or adolescent health. Candidates from backgrounds underrepresented in academic medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
Selection
Fellows are chosen on the basis of their interests in pursuing research careers in child and/or adolescent health, academic and clinical performance during residency training or graduate school, and perceived potential for leadership in medicine, public health or a related field.
Application
To apply to the program, please prepare the following information: a single-spaced, two page personal statement describing your career interests, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference from senior faculty. All documents should be submitted via our application portal.
Applications are reviewed as they are received. All applicants will receive an acknowledgment of receipt within two weeks of submission. Candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted by AGP Administration to discuss interview timelines based on organizational needs and training program availability.
