Medical Simulation Fellowship
The Cincinnati Children's Center for Simulation and Researchis accepting applicants for fellowship to join a dynamic group of simulationists. The fellow will work alongside nine physicians (including a fellowship program director, a medical director, and a research director), an operations director, a staff scientist, four education consultants, fifteen education specialists, three simulation technicians, a medical education coordinator, and a project manager in our two multi-unit simulation labs and during in situ simulations at two free-standing, academic pediatric hospitals. The fellowship will be 12 months in length, with 50% of effort towards simulation and 50% working clinically in the fellow’s unit of specialty.
Program Objectives
- Provide a foundational experience in medical simulation to qualified applicants
- Facilitate successful academic, clinical, and research careers in medical simulation
- Foster cognitive and technical skills which will allow applicants to independently lead the design and delivery of simulation-based training programs for graduate, continuing and interprofessional medical education
- Develop future leaders in medical simulation and simulation-based training
