We accomplished so much together last year, including opening a state-of-the-art Critical Care Building to better serve families in need of complex and emergency care, which will serve our community for generations to come.

Leadership Letter

Friends,

While the pandemic continued to bring challenges and uncertainty over the past year, with you by our side we created glimmers of light, hope and possibilities. And we can’t thank you enough.

Together we opened a new critical care building, laid the groundwork to expand much-needed mental health services, advanced research discovery and helped test vaccines to slow the spread of the virus.

Through it all, our patients and families continued to show us bravery and strength. And our Cincinnati Children’s teams were resilient, rising to each challenge with dedication and compassion. And you, our steadfast partners, displayed unwavering commitment.

In this special year-in-review edition, we celebrate our shared accomplishments.

We’ll introduce you to our new president and CEO, Steve Davis, MD, and a family whose son’s severe food allergies ignited their passion to advance research in pursuit of a cure. You’ll learn about a new medical innovation that is saving the lives of our tiniest patients. And we’ll share progress on important work we’re doing with Cincinnati Public Schools to help all kids reach
their full potential—all thanks to generous donor support.

We’re looking at 2022 with renewed optimism and giving thanks for your ongoing partnership. We know with your support we’ll never stop moving forward for children.

Sincerely,

Mark Jahnke, Esq
