Perinatal Outreach Program

Cincinnati Children’s Perinatal Outreach Program (CCPOP)

The Cincinnati Children’s Perinatal Outreach Program (CCPOP) provides professional education and expert consultation to perinatal care providers across the region.

We partner with maternity and newborn hospitals, local health departments, and community perinatal service providers to enhance care quality and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.

Our Mission

Promote evidence-based, risk-appropriate care for women and infants, ultimately reducing perinatal mortality and morbidity.

Our Approach

To improve perinatal health, CCPOP focuses on five key strategies:

  1. Educating perinatal care providers on best practices in clinical care and public health
  2. Developing integrated healthcare programs that optimize perinatal care systems in hospitals and communities
  3. Identifying and addressing preventable morbidity and mortality through data analysis, evidence-based medicine, and public health collaborations
  4. Monitoring healthcare trends and keeping regional professionals informed about emerging issues
  5. Facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration among hospitals, healthcare providers, public health groups, and community organizations

By working together, we strive to create a healthier future for mothers and infants across our region.
