Mullins Lab
The Mullins Lab focuses on conducting research designed to improve the care of adolescents and young adults and reduce health disparities, specifically in the areas of prevention of HIV infection and health outcomes in gender-diverse youth. Our projects have examined:
- The attitudes and preferences of adolescents and young adults toward different HIV testing methods
- The impact of changes in HIV testing strategies – including offering a rapid HIV test – on rates of HIV testing among youth
- Attitudes toward biomedical HIV prevention methods, like oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), among physicians and youth
- How best to link youth to outpatient PrEP services
- Health of gender-diverse youth
