Dr. McGrady received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 2012 and completed her clinical internship and T32 postdoctoral fellowship (PI: Drotar) at Cincinnati Children’s. In 2014, McGrady joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. McGrady is a researcher in the Patient and Family Wellness Center, a partnership between the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology and the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children’s. In her current position, she is developing a research program focused on improving quality of life and health outcomes among adolescents and young adults with cancer by targeting adherence. McGrady’s ongoing research uses economic methodologies to understand adherence decision-making among adolescents and young adults with cancer. Her long-term goal is to develop a novel cost-effective and patient-centered adherence-promotion intervention for adolescents and young adults with cancer.
Gabriella is the Clinical Research Coordinator for the AYA Qualitative and the CBDI Cost studies. In this position, she assists with data collection and analysis, volunteer management, and daily lab operations. This role has given her unique experiences and opportunities that have helped develop her research skills. Gabriella received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Xavier University in May 2014 and joined the McGrady lab in August 2014.
