I am a pediatric intensivist and physician scientist in the Division of Critical Care Medicine, and my research is informed by caring for critically ill children in the pediatric intensive care unit. My goal is to bring the bedside problem of myocardial dysfunction to the bench to develop novel mechanistic insights to target to improve patient outcomes.
I received my PhD in Pathogen Biology from the Sun Yat-sen University in 2008. My main role is developing and performing experiments with iPSC-cardiomyocyte culture and assessing mitochondrial function with Seahorse XFe24 Analyzer. My expertise also includes molecular biological techniques of protein expression, cell transfection, RNA extraction.
