Specialized Fitness Testing and Therapy for Cancer Survivors
The Cardiorespiratory Wellness Program provides structured exercise therapy and detailed fitness testing designed for survivors of childhood, adolescent and young adult cancer. Our team evaluates heart and lung function, strength and mobility, then guides each patient through a supervised exercise program that helps rebuild endurance and confidence.
Each patient receives a personalized plan that combines medical testing, physical assessments and guided exercise sessions. The goal is to help cancer survivors safely return to regular activity while building lifelong healthy exercise habits.
Treatments and services in our program include:
- Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) to measure how the heart and lungs respond to physical activity
- Comprehensive physical fitness assessments including strength, flexibility and functional movement testing
- Personalized exercise therapy plans based on each patient’s health history, abilities and goals
- Structured exercise sessions supervised by experts
- In‑person therapy sessions led by physical therapists to address movement limitations and strength deficits
- Virtual supervised exercise sessions that allow patients to safely train from home or a local fitness facility
- Ongoing progress assessments throughout the program to track improvements and adjust the exercise plan
- Education and guidance for lifelong fitness so survivors can continue exercising safely after the program ends
This combination of medical testing and guided exercise therapy helps patients improve endurance, rebuild strength and develop safe exercise habits that support long-term health.
