For Healthcare Professionals
Healthcare providers may refer a patient by calling the center at 1-513-803-4DSD (4373) or 1-800-344-2462, ext. 4373. Ask to speak with the clinical coordinator who can begin the intake process or direct your call to a physician.
Physician Priority Link
Physician Priority Link (PPL) is a physician-to-physician telephone hotline provided by Cincinnati Children’s specifically for our referring physicians. Call 513-636-7997 or 1-888-636-7997.
PPL is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. PPL operators can put physicians in contact with the appropriate on-call specialty services (endocrinology, human genetics, urology) for urgent referrals and consultations.
When you call with a referral to the center, please send copies of previous evaluations and test results prior to your patient’s first appointment. We may also request additional relevant testing ahead of time. This allows our physicians to have more information to better evaluate the patient at the first appointment. The call center will help your staff or your patient and family schedule the tests. We will send you a letter for your records summarizing the recommendations and treatment for your patient.
Parents or patients may make an appointment by calling the center at 513-803-4DSD (4373) or 1-800-344-2462, ext. 4373. You will be referred to the nurse coordinator to begin discussing your child’s history and concerns. We will ask for medical records and insurance information.
