Innovative Therapies and Coordinated Care for Children with Lymphatic Diseases
Lymphatic diseases may impact several aspects of your child’s health. That’s why we bring together a team of experts from Cincinnati Children’s to give your child comprehensive care. When possible, we will coordinate your visit to have several appointments on the same day, which means fewer trips to see doctors.
Your child’s care team includes the entire team from the Hemangioma and Vascular Malformations Center along with orthopedics, interventional radiology and other specialties. We also bring together licensed pediatric occupational and physical therapists who specialize in lymphedema and other lymphatic diseases, as well as social workers and psychologists to assist with other needs.
We use specialized imaging (such as MRI and lymphangiogram) to diagnose lymphatic diseases.

- Anticoagulants
- Clinical trials
- Compression garments
- Intensive decongestive therapy
- Molecularly targeted medications
- Sclerotherapy
- Surgeries
Intensive decongestive therapy is an innovative lymphedema treatment unique to Cincinnati Children’s. Our center also is active in clinical trials for new, targeted medications, sclerotherapy and other treatments.
