Improving the Treatment, Diagnoses, and Prevention of Pediatric Musculoskeletal Disorders

The Division of Orthopaedics has a strong commitment to research focused on improving the treatment, diagnoses and prevention of pediatric musculoskeletal disorders.  The focus on research is closely linked with our clinicians’ clinical expertise with the goal of having a direct impact and improving the quality of care of the children that we treat.  Cooperation between clinicians and the researchers working to answer the questions that affect the children we treat every day is a goal of our research program.

Research spans the spectrum of microbiology and biomechanics as well as clinical care, allowing us to quickly bring this research from bench to bedside.  We also have been involved with many multicenter studies and work closely with many other top children’s hospitals.
