About

Biography

I’m an anesthesiologist specializing in pediatric cardiac anesthesia. My care philosophy is patient-centered, emphasizing empathy, clear communication and holistic care. Every patient, regardless of age, deserves to be treated with respect, compassion and dignity. This means addressing their medical needs and considering their emotional and psychological well-being.

My inspiration to become a healthcare provider began with a deep desire to make a real difference in people's lives. I chose pediatric cardiac anesthesiology because I was fascinated with how the heart works and how resilient children are. Children with congenital heart conditions are some of the most vulnerable patients and working with them offers me both a unique challenge and immense fulfillment. The opportunity to support children and their families during critical moments is a privilege that continues to fuel my passion for this specialty.

In my practice, I emphasize a team-based approach, where working with other healthcare professionals ensures comprehensive care. I’m committed to being accessible and responsive—always ready to address concerns or questions. My goal is to create a trusting and supportive environment where patients and their families feel valued, respected and confident in the care they receive.

My research aims to solve critical challenges in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology by improving patient safety, enhancing recovery protocols and optimizing clinical outcomes for children undergoing complex heart surgeries. Specifically, I aim to understand the nuances of perioperative care, such as the effects of anesthetic agents on vulnerable pediatric populations and the development of protocols that minimize complications and promote faster recovery.

I’m honored to have received the Distinguished Educator of the Year Award from the Department of Anesthesiology at Cincinnati Children's, Cincinnati, OH (2023-2024).

When I’m not working, I enjoy Pilates.
