As a speech-language pathologist, I specialize in culturally and linguistically diverse interventions for children and adolescents. My care philosophy is to openly engage with the family — or anyone who the patient trusts, loves and is comfortable around. I incorporate the patient and family culture, values, language and dynamics in my care. I do this by creating a relaxed, inclusive therapy environment, so my patients can thrive and reach their goals.

Speech-language pathologists show parents and other caregivers how to best communicate with their children and teach children how to communicate and interact with their worlds. This opportunity is what drew me to the profession and what motivates me to serve my patients and families better.

A speech-language pathologist provides strategies for creating effective communication and personal connections between children and their caregivers. The goal is to open new doors that foster education, nurturing and love between them. The opportunity to aid in developing these types of relationships for families has inspired me to this vocation and to work with children.

I have treatment and counseling experience in the field of speech-language pathology with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. During my graduate career, I spoke Spanish clinically and held numerous bilingual-volunteer roles in the Columbus, Ohio area before moving to Cincinnati. I have a love for the Spanish language, and languages in general — all are welcome in my practice.

During my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking and trying new foods. I also love staying active and playing volleyball, tennis and running.
