I've spent my entire career at Cincinnati Children's. I started as a bedside nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and then moved to working as a liver transplant coordinator. After I graduated with my Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) degree, I worked in neurosurgery. As an APRN, I have now moved to the Department of Anesthesia in the Pre-Anesthesia Consult Clinic. I plan to continue working to develop and advance my long-term career as part of this fantastic team.
As a bedside nurse, I learned how impactful caring for pediatric patients and working with their families can be. I wanted to take advantage of the advancement opportunities that nurses have and use my skills and knowledge to their full potential. Anesthesia has always interested me. I see patients within every specialty of medicine and am constantly learning. I love learning, so it's an excellent fit for me.
Some of the most important factors impacting patient and family experiences within a hospital are making sure they feel heard and that they trust our team to provide the best care for their child. I want to ensure that each patient and family I see feels safe to undergo anesthesia, and I will work with them until we reach that goal.
In my free time, I like to travel with my family and my fiancé. We enjoy weekend trips to places where we can hike, and my fiancé is slowly getting me back into tent camping.
