As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I practice inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents, age three to 18. I listen to my patients' unique needs, worries and situations to create an individual treatment plan for each patient.
I’ve always been interested in the mind and helping those living with mental health disorders— this is my life’s work.
I was a speaker at the Mental Health Symposium on Managing Aggression in Children and Adolescents that was held in Mason, Ohio in 2019. I redesigned a course for Northern Kentucky University (NKU) entitled MSN 675-Management of Psychiatric Disorders and teach online for NKU in their Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program. I’ve assisted in the development of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role for inpatient units at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
In my free time, I love playing with my adorable little granddaughter. I also like to play a Chinese tile game called Mahjong with friends. I enjoy shopping, baking and playing card games with my adult children.
