As an advanced practice registered nurse, I specialize in supporting and caring for pediatric palliative care patients and their families. Our team works to enhance the quality of life for patients and families facing serious illness. We help with communication and provide care to decrease suffering, including pain management. Our team focuses on enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families who are facing challenges associated with their illness. We provide holistic care that considers our patients' and their families' physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.

I have always enjoyed working with children throughout my nursing career. I previously worked with children with burn injuries who spent an extended amount of time in the hospital. This experience drew me to the palliative care population. I’m now a Certified Hospice and Palliative Pediatric Nurse (CHPPN). I believe that each family member and their child have a voice, and we should not assume that we know what they know or want. I now practice supporting families and patients with serious illnesses by providing relief from pain and other symptoms to help promote the best quality of life for our patient population.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling and spending time with family.
