I am a clinical fellow specializing in hospital medicine. I help care for all children and young adults admitted to our general hospital medicine services. I have a specific passion for children with medical complexity and the opportunity it provides to engage in shared decision-making with patients and their caregivers.
I was inspired to become a provider, specifically a pediatrician, to not only take care of children while they are acutely ill but also to allow them to thrive in all areas of their lives by providing preventive care and advocating for patients through various platforms.
Pediatricians are privileged to work closely with each patient's caregivers, who are ultimately the experts on their child. Working together, we develop a comprehensive care plan that addresses each patient's needs. I ensure that a family always feels heard and that we use family-centered language so that they understand the plan for each day.
Throughout residency, my research has focused on the early identification of clinical deterioration. I plan to continue this research throughout my fellowship, focusing on unrecognized deterioration in children with medical complexity and how caregiver presence at the bedside may impact this. I was honored to receive the Shah Family Award in residency for excellence in hospital medicine.
In my free time, I love to run and explore Cincinnati's many restaurants and ice cream shops. I am a huge sports fan and love watching the Cincinnati Bengals and FC Cincinnati.
