I am a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who specializes in working in emergency medicine, which includes seeing patients in both the urgent care and emergency departments. With each patient and family I care for, I understand their situation is unique to them, and I individualize treatment for each child — whether simple or complex. My care philosophy also places value on children’s wellness and preventative care and spending time with families to provide education.
I was inspired to become a registered nurse (RN) and a nurse practitioner by wanting to help people through various challenges and caring for them along the way. My love for pediatrics came from how children see the world differently from adults and how tiny humans can face the hardest challenges with joy and strength. The pediatric specialty won me over in nursing school when one of my patients nicknamed me the "headband nurse” and taught me all the fun things he could do during his frequent hospital stays.
In my free time, I love to stay active. You can find me at either a barre or Orangetheory class or going for a run. If I'm not doing that, I'm trying a new coffee shop or hanging out with my sweet dog, Chip, who is the world's greatest snuggler. I grew up in Michigan (Go Blue!) and often go back there to visit family and friends.
