I'm a pathologist with specialized training in gastrointestinal and liver diseases. I’ve dedicated over 20 years to examining tissue samples under the microscope to help diagnose conditions affecting patients of all ages—from newborns to adults.
I earned my medical degree with highest honors from the University of Southern California and completed my residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. I have also completed two fellowships: one in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at the Mayo Clinic, and another in pediatric pathology at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Throughout my career, I’ve also been involved in research to better understand diseases like inflammatory bowel disease, necrotizing enterocolitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cholangitis, and autoimmune hepatitis. These efforts help improve how we care for patients today and in the future.
I currently lead the GI pathology section at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and serve as a professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
