The combined Neurocritical Care and Cerebrovascular Fellowship provides a one-year clinical educational offering to child neurology and critical care trainees interested in pursuing advanced training in the recognition of acute neurologic injury and brain-directed critical care.

Cincinnati Children's has developed a Trauma-Bay-to-Classroom model of neurocritical care, recognizing that the ultimate objective after hospitalization is return to normal, healthy function. Every step of our care model is centered on the objective of improving the outcome for our patients. The considerable resources of a top-ranked children’s hospital are employed to deliver world-class care to our kids.

Fellows supervise each step of the patient’s care beginning with ICU consultation support, acute and rehabilitative care stabilization, and outpatient recovery in multidisciplinary clinics designed to support our patients. In each environment, faculty serve in an advisory role by facilitating learning and fostering an environment for independent practice development.
