Providing Exceptional Training to Future Leaders in Neuroimmunology

The Neuroimmunology Fellowship provides a one-year clinical educational offering to child neurology trainees interested in pursuing training in the diagnosis and management of neuroinflammatory disease.

We aim to help prepare fellows to be leaders in the field with the goal of helping to improve outcomes for children with neuroinflammatory disease and increase access to subspecialty care for these patients.

Fellows will be incorporated into the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center with the aim to provide high-level multidisciplinary care to patients with neuroinflammatory conditions. They will see patients at Cincinnati Children’s and the University of Cincinnati to allow for exposure to patients of all ages.

Fellows will have gradual autonomy and be seen as the primary neuroimmunologist for their patients, providing care to both inpatients and outpatients with the support of faculty leadership.

The formal education through didactics and conferences will expose fellows to the depth and breath of neuroimmunology as program leadership includes members from neuroimmunology, neuro-ophthalmology, rheumatology, and neuroradiology backgrounds. Research opportunities and clinical elective time are tailored to support individual career and education goals.
