Letter from the President

Friends,

Isn’t it amazing what we can accomplish together?

Thanks to your support, for the first time ever Cincinnati Children’s climbed to the No. 2 spot in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018–2019 Best Children’s Hospitals ranking.

While rankings can change from year to year, our commitment always stays the same. Together, with great partners like you, we stay focused on what is best for children.

And we keep moving things forward—because until every child, parent and caregiver has the help and care they need, we’ll never stop.

In this special year-in-review edition of For the Children, you’ll read about five of our top-ranked specialties—and how our care teams and donors are working together to create better futures for kids.

Whether it’s a child from another country or one living right next door in our home neighborhood of Avondale, our simple and noble mission here at Cincinnati Children’s is to heal kids when they’re sick, help them thrive when they are healthy and make new research discoveries that benefit all children.

It’s both a privilege and a responsibility to be a part of this mission. We thank you for all that you do to help Cincinnati Children’s continue to flourish.

With much gratitude,

Michael Fisher
