Letter from the President
Friends,
I grew up here, and as far back as I can remember, Cincinnati Children’s has been a part of my life. Everyone in our community knew the hospital’s teams were there, at the ready, to deliver world-class, compassionate care when families needed it most.
What I didn’t realize then, but have come to know now, is that our community is always there for the medical center, too.
That came alive for me as I witnessed the energy of thousands of donors, grateful families, community leaders and business partners who joined us for our September fundraising events. Together, we’re raising awareness of—and support for—the kids and families who count on us.
In this issue of For the Children, you’ll learn more about how we’re partnering to deliver world-class CARE to the tiniest patients. You’ll also get a glimpse into our relentless pursuit of innovations to improve treatments—and potential CURES—for children suffering with chronic conditions. And you’ll hear more about how individuals and businesses across our COMMUNITY are coming together to fuel our work.
