Letter from the President

Friends,

As I conclude my time as CEO of this amazing organization, I’m filled with appreciation.

It’s been a privilege to serve in this role, and I can’t thank you enough.

Inspired by our devoted community, world-renowned and compassionate care teams, and especially our strong and resilient patients and families, Cincinnati Children’s has been on an incredible upward trajectory. For more than 138 years, we’ve been advancing discovery and personalizing medicine to improve the health and lives of children.

And with the bold aspirations of Pursuing our Potential Together, so all kids can pursue theirs, our biggest impact is yet to come.

In this issue, you’ll learn about our new Critical Care Building and expanded Emergency Department. You’ll also get an inside look at our determined and comprehensive efforts to change the outcome for children with mental and behavioral health conditions.

Helping to lead Cincinnati Children’s is both a unique responsibility and an amazing opportunity. As I pass the torch, I’m confident the medical center is in good hands. With a wise and dedicated Board of Trustees, an extraordinary faculty and staff, and with the enduring partnership of friends like you who share our vision, there’s nothing we can’t achieve for kids everywhere.
