Michael Newland was too young at the time to remember the accident that changed his life. He was just a toddler when he fell in front of the lawnmower when his dad was cutting the grass in their suburban Cincinnati home in 1989. He had to have his foot amputated. But he went on to play sports and do everything any other kid did. His parents will never forget the tragic day that halted life for a moment. It taught them that life goes on, and that they could overcome tough times. This is their story.
