Gail McMonigle never expected to be called to Haiti to do volunteer work. But McMonigle, a nurse in neurology at Cincinnati Children's, feels compelled to keep going back. After 12 trips there, she's connected with people she loves. Others from Cincinnati Children's, including nurse practitioner Cornelia Gonsalves and neurologist Dr. David Franz, joined the last trip to Haiti. They helped open a world of medical care to people who needed it. And at the same time, they found satisfaction in helping a world beyond their own.
