Cincinnati Children’s answers questions for bone marrow transplantation and immune deficiency patients concerned about care during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Do I need to contact my care team to reschedule an appointment?
The Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency has been in contact with all patients whose appointments can be rescheduled to a later time due to precautions surrounding COVID-19.
What if I am running out of a prescription for my child?
At this time, we are not able to fulfill requests for extra prescriptions or for extra medical supplies. We will still provide you with any prescriptions and home medical supplies that you need in the usual amounts.
What should I do if my child has an urgent medical issue or may have symptoms of COVID-19?
If you are concerned that your child has coronavirus due to a known or possible exposure, call 513-517-2234 during business hours or call 1-800-344-2462 after hours. Ask to speak to the BMT doctor on-call before bringing your child to the hospital.
