The Center for Adherence and Self-Management at Cincinnati Children’s will address the high prevalence of problems surrounding adherence to medical treatment and the impact on clinical care and research. The center will address the need for state-of-the-art science, clinical care and training that focuses on adherence promotion. Through research, clinical care and training programs, the Center for Adherence and Self-Management will address areas of national significance and contribute to the mission of Cincinnati Children’s by facilitating intradisciplinary collaboration and quality improvement.

The Center for Adherence and Self-Management at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will optimize health outcomes for patients and their families by promoting self-management and adherence to medical treatments by conducting state-of-the-art science, delivering innovative clinical care, and providing specialized training programs for the next generation of clinicians and scientists. The Center will also lead institutional, national, and international adherence and self-management initiatives by disseminating evidence-based methods and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
