Brian Varisco, MD, is a physician researcher within the division of pediatric critical care medicine. His research interests focus on the role of matrix, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells in normal and impaired alveolar and pulmonary vascular development.

Qiang Fan is a research assistant with many years of experience in biochemical and molecular experiment with tissue and cell lines. He performs mouse pneumonectomy, lung tissue processing, and imaging for better understanding the regulation of CELA1 in pulmonary biology.
