Undergraduate Research Assistant
Karl Mueller works as an undergraduate research assistant in the Whitlock lab, specializing in polymer microsphere production and attends the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He is the manufacturing executive and a project lead of EnableUC, a club focused on bettering the lives of local children through the production of 3D printed prosthetics that are simple and provided free of charge. Karl also currently works at Ethicon Endo-Surgery as a second-term co-op. Future plans include working to produce surgical devices or orthopaedic implants.
Sumit Murab, PhD
I have a keen interest in the development of in vitro models of osteochondral diseases with complex etiologies. The in vitro disease models help understand the mechanism of disease development as well as for testing different drug candidates both for screening and personalized medicine purposes.
