The mission of the Hip Preservation Program is to excel in the evaluation and treatment of congenital and developmental hip problems in newborns, infants, adolescents and young adults (up to 35 years of age).
We provide education and training to pediatricians, family practitioners and orthopaedic surgeons in the recognition and treatment of the spectrum of hip deformities. We also strive to be on the forefront of research of current treatment regimens and development of new and improved management techniques, including non-operative and operative methods.
Each patient is thoroughly evaluated by specialists in the Hip Preservation Program. Clinical evaluations are often supplemented with the latest diagnostic techniques, including ultrasound, conventional X-ray, arthrography, bone scan, CT scan and MRI.
