Studying Signaling Networks That Influence Uterine Biology
Research in the Sun Lab focuses on elucidating the signaling networks that coordinate uterine gland maturation, embryo implantation, and placental development during pregnancy, providing insights into fertility and reproductive diseases. Our lab’s goal is to understand the endocrine, paracrine, autocrine and juxtacrine signaling networks that influence uterine biology. Using genetically engineered mouse models, we work to define the uterine characteristics and circumstances necessary for successful embryo implantation and normal placentation.
