For a Mental Health Emergency

  1. If your child has a mental health emergency, first, call your child's outpatient or community mental health provider.
  2. If you are still in need of help, call Cincinnati Children's Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) at 513-636-4124. We will let you know what you need to do for your child.
  3. If you are not able to call your child's doctor, or the PIRC, take your child directly to an Emergency Room for a mental health evaluation or call 911.

For Routine Mental Health Questions

For routine questions or non-emergent needs about your child's mental health problems, call PIRC at 513-636-4124 and we can help you get the care your child needs.
