Promoting Healthier Eating Habits and Increased Physical Activity
Nutrition
Registered dietitians provide nutrition counseling to help each child and teen improve their eating habits and achieve healthier weight goals. During the first visit, a dietitian will learn about the patient and family's current eating style. Together, the family, patient and dietitian will choose an eating plan that meets their likes, dislikes, nutrition goals and needs.
Our dietitians also host nutrition classes several times a month where families can learn new recipes and practice cooking skills. Ask your dietitian at your appointment for upcoming dates/times.
Group Exercise Programs
Our exercise staff offers fun, non-competitive group exercise classes for children and teens. The classes focus on fitness, movement and skill development. Session may include
- Warm up and cool down
- Active games
- Digital fitness games
- Yoga
- Stretching
- Dancing
- And more
Classes are taught in a small group setting, allowing for more one-on-one attention. Children and teens are encouraged to exercise in a group setting to motivate each other throughout the class. Our classes are a fun way to start and stay active while meeting other families.
Classes are offered four evenings a week and conveniently located at our Winslow Avenue location (third floor).
