Professional education is an integral part of the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute’s mission. The exceptional resources at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center allow us to offer participation in state-of-the-art patient care and opportunities for high-quality research training in a variety of clinical, translational and basic science areas.
In addition to fellowship training, the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute provides a variety of continuing professional education opportunities – including weekly conferences, grand rounds and CME courses – to help health professionals stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric hematology and oncology medicine.
Specialized Training Through Our Fellowship Program
The Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers a number of intensive hematology / oncology fellowships.
The medical center is an excellent setting for this highly specialized training, with its world-class faculty, advanced facilities for clinical care and high-tech research programs.
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, located across the street, is an additional source for professional collaboration and enrichment.
Continuing Medical Education
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at Cincinnati’s Children’s reflects the institution’s mission of improving child health and transforming delivery of care through fully integrated research, education and innovation.
Cincinnati Children’s CME program provides activities with the expectation that knowledge and clinical skills of all participants will be advanced and enhanced, leading to improvements in competence, performance and patient outcomes.
CME activities and services provided include organizing, promoting and presenting CME via a variety of formats (lecture, series, conferences, symposiums, webcasts and online archives) for physicians, APRNs and other health care providers.
