If your baby needs advanced medical care or surgery right after birth, you may be able to deliver your child at the Cincinnati Children's Fetal Care Center’s Special Delivery Unit. It’s one of only a few birthing centers in the world located inside a pediatric hospital.
When you give birth at our Special Delivery Unit, your baby is immediately surrounded by the expertise, special equipment and tender care that Cincinnati Children’s is known for. The unit is just down the hall from our Level IV newborn intensive care unit (NICU) and cardiac intensive care unit (CICU). This keeps you close to your newborn and eliminates worries about transporting your tiniest loved one between hospitals.
