Since its founding in 1972, the Division of Neurology has become one of the nation’s premiere centers for education, research and treatment of pediatric neurological disorders. We annually see more than 23,000 patients for conditions such as epilepsy, headache, cerebral palsy, and neurometabolic, neuro-oncologic, neurobehavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Our board certified neurologists treat patients at the Burnet Campus as well as several neighborhood locations, providing convenient access to care for our patients. In addition, we have a range of specialty services available for patients with specific neurological conditions. Our team of specialists, nurses, nurse practitioners and highly trained staff are experts in providing specific care that matches each patient’s unique neurological needs.
Our Clinical Neurology Labs support our efforts by offering a range of scanning services to diagnose neurologic conditions. We perform more than 4,000 EEG scans a year, and our high-tech services are used by physicians and researchers from Cincinnati Children’s and beyond.
In addition to our clinical work, we promote neurological research at all levels. Every day, our clinician-scientists work to find new and better ways to care for children with neurological problems. And our extensive education efforts are training the next generation of neurologists to advance the state-of-the art patient care and apply those advances to help children and their families.
