I knew I wanted to work with pediatric patients after working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and then the Emergency Department at Cincinnati Children's as a nurse practitioner. I’ve also cared for patients in several other areas, including urgent care and CincyKids Health Connect.
I believe parents know their children best. Their input is highly important to me when I’m physically assessing their child and obtaining their medical history. My research interests include psychosocial issues related to new-onset epilepsy, parental and patient coping methods related to diagnosis of epilepsy and barriers to medication compliance among adolescents.
In my free time, I love to travel. As a certified scuba diver, I especially like visiting the Caribbean.
