I'm a physician assistant (PA) specializing in hematology. My dad's battle with cancer initially inspired me to become a provider. He was treated at Cincinnati Children's as a teenager, and my mom worked here as a nurse for 20 years. I have always dreamed of working here at the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute (CBDI), and since developing a specific interest in hematology, this position fits me perfectly. I love working with children because they are incredibly resilient, and it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to impact their health and lives at such young ages.
Since becoming a parent, I'm constantly trying to provide care for patients and families the way I want my own family to receive care. It's important to me to be prompt and give my patients the time they deserve while thoroughly answering all their questions to ease their minds and help them feel confident in their treatment plan. I also love to bring printed educational materials to my visits to review with families, so they have additional information about diagnoses and treatments. Parents should always feel comfortable asking questions; even if I don't have all the answers, I will find out all I can for them.
My free time is spent with my husband, Pete, and our two children, Vinny and Ella. We have a pop-up camper and love to go camping. We are always outdoors — taking walks, riding bikes or hanging out in our neighborhood. Our favorite place to vacation is Fripp Island, SC.
