Kelly M. Hayden, OD, MS

I’m a pediatric optometrist specializing in amblyopia, strabismus, binocular vision, low vision and children with disabilities. I love working with children and am proud to provide service at one of the best children’s hospitals in the world!

My goal is to provide high-quality, comprehensive eye care to every child so they have the best vision they possibly can. I work with each family to understand their child’s unique needs in school, sports and personal life to develop a plan to help them see clearly and effectively. I try to make the eye exam as painless as possible and even a bit fun.

I participate in research at the hospital and stay current on the latest evidence-based medicine so each child I see receives the most up-to-date and personalized care. My research interests include amblyopia, low vision and myopia control.

I grew up in Cleveland and completed my college education at the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!). I studied optometry and completed my pediatric residency at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, reading, and watching sports with my husband, daughter and dog.
