Abby Lonnemann, PsyD

As a psychologist, I treat children and adolescents who demonstrate moderate- to high-intensity aggression toward themselves or others. I also provide specialized parent training using a data- driven process tailored to each family.

I was drawn to my profession because individuals with developmental disabilities perceive and organize the world differently than I do. Each person I work with challenges my preconceived perceptions and helps me learn to flex my understanding of the world.

My job is to serve the patient and their family. I use my knowledge and training to assess challenging behaviors that are disruptive to their lives. Then I evaluate possibilities for resolving these issues that fit their lifestyle, family dynamic and home environment. Our clinic approaches each patient and their concerns as a team. We work together to provide a safe treatment experience that culminates in an effective and personalized treatment plan.

With my free time, I enjoy learning and practicing new skills and reading a good book. I also love spending time with my friends and family.
