About

Biography

I’m a clinical counselor specializing in individual and family therapy in the school-based setting. I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I combine these approaches to provide client-centered care. My practice focuses on teaching children the tools they can use independently or with some adult help to manage the stresses and difficulties life throws at them.

I have always enjoyed spending time with children, especially watching them navigate the world and find creative solutions to their problems and challenges. I was drawn to therapy because I get to work directly with children and families to develop creative solutions to address their concerns together.

I approach the therapeutic relationship with clients with openness and empathy. I build relationships with clients and families based on trust, understanding and kindness. Creating a positive client relationship is the first step in reaching client goals. I also focus on building my clients' confidence and belief in themselves so that they can face their challenges and succeed.

In my free time, I enjoy baking, quilting and reading. I also like to travel with family and friends.
