About

Biography

I'm a speech therapist specializing in early intervention, early childhood, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and oral motor feeding/swallowing disorders. I believe in child-led and play-based therapy. It is essential to follow the patient's lead and see what motivates them, as we make the most progress when we set up fun, familiar and engaging environments. These settings help create a positive experience while improving critical developmental skills.

My high school dance team coach, a pediatric speech-language pathologist, inspired me to become a speech therapist. I interned with her for a month in high school and fell in love with this field of work. I knew that this was what I was meant to do.

One extremely important aspect of therapy is carryover in the home and community environments, which is vital to a patient's progress. At-home activities allow patients to use skills learned and gained during treatment sessions and apply them to all situations.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, reading, hiking and trying new restaurants.
