About

Biography

I care for children, teens, and young adults with solid tumors, with a special focus on sarcomas—cancers that affect bone, muscle, and connective tissue. Pediatric oncology is a field where science and compassion meet, offering powerful opportunities to improve lives through innovative treatments and heartfelt care.

Every day, I’m inspired by the strength and resilience of my patients and their families. It’s a privilege to walk alongside them, learning from their courage and supporting them through every step of their journey. I work with an incredible team of physicians and medical professionals, and together, we aim to meet each patient’s needs with expertise and empathy.

Collaboration is at the heart of progress. I partner with clinicians and researchers at Cincinnati Children’s and across the country to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cancer care. My research focuses on developing new treatments for recurrent or metastatic sarcomas—aggressive cancers that urgently need better options. Through national collaborations, we’re working to better understand these tumors and bring more effective therapies to the patients who need them most.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is the lasting relationships that form during and after treatment. I was honored to receive the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, which recognizes the deep connections I strive to build with patients and families.

Outside the hospital, I recharge by hiking, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with my wife, kids, and grandchildren.
