A photo of an infantThere is something special about the nurses at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. You can see it in the respect they get. You can hear it in the compassionate way they speak up for and care about children and their families. From the moment they enter the room, their high energy and intelligence set them apart. They are professionals who excel in the stimulating environment of a top-3 children's hospital and research center. They are instrumental in developing best practices and are encouraged to continue their education and advance their careers.

Cincinnati Children's has earned Magnet recognition − the gold standard for nursing excellence and collaboration among all care providers and patients. Organizations that earn Magnet recognition must demonstrate evidence of the 14 "forces of magnetism" − variables that create an environment that attracts and retains high-quality nurses and clinical staff − in both the documentation and a site visit. Only five percent of hospitals in the U.S. have earned Magnet status.
