The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is a national and international referral destination. That means families traverse the globe to receive expert care from us. We offer comprehensive services for pediatric gastrointestinal (GI) diseases—from simple conditions to the most complex. No matter what issue a child faces, they are in good hands with us.

The Division of Hospital Medicine is a team of more than 50 faculty and staff physicians providing care to over 10,000 patients per year on our general pediatric, complex care, surgical co-management and adult care teams.

The Division of Hospital Medicine’s mission is to collaborate across the health system and the communities we serve to deliver exceptional clinical care and advance exemplary research, education and continuous improvement.

The successful Pediatric Hospitalist candidate will be board eligible/certified in pediatrics and have the ability to receive a medical license in the State of Ohio. Experience should include demonstrated skill in diagnosis and management of illness. Experience as a pediatric hospitalist, PHM board eligibility/certification, teaching of medical students and residents, and leading quality improvement projects are not required but are differentiating factors. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer specific positions for Internal Medicine-Pediatrics trained physicians who work on our Adult Care team in addition to Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Adult Hospital Medicine teams at the University of Cincinnati.

The Division of Infectious Diseases provides clinical consultation on the diagnosis and management of pediatric infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient areas. In addition to general pediatric infectious disease care, we offer comprehensive care for immunocompromised children with coordination of care across the health system through a dedicated Immunocompromised Host Infectious Disease Program.

The Division of Infectious Diseases conducts physician-scientist lead research and supports critical hospital functions with leadership in Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (ASP). These leaders guide hospital surveillance as well as antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship in the inpatient and outpatient settings. The IP&C program works with local, regional and national programs to track and report infectious diseases. The division works collaboratively with the research and clinical microbiology laboratories within Cincinnati Children’s to offer routine and special diagnostic studies for bacterial, fungal and viral infections.

The Perinatal Institute and Division of Neonatology combine the latest advances in clinical care, research and education to improve care and outcomes for all newborns, especially those born with complex problems due to prematurity or disorders of organ development. We are working hard to uncover new findings, develop innovative treatments, and improve diagnostics. And we are doing it all to improve outcomes for our patients, families and communities.

 We are a leader in setting the standard for neonatal care. We work on local, regional and national levels to align efforts in public health, clinical care, quality improvement and research to decrease the consequences of prematurity and other birth outcomes requiring multispecialty care, and to improve the health of all newborn babies. Our neonatology program is nationally ranked in the Top 5 in the 2025-26 list of Best Children’s Hospitals published by U.S. News & World Report. We care for newborns with the most complex health problems.

The successful Pediatric Neonatologist candidate will be board eligible/certified in neonatology and have the ability to receive a medical license in the State of Ohio. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our Newborn Hospitalist positions require newborn training, ideally in a Level III/IV NICU.

The Division of Pulmonary Medicine is one of the largest, and is the #2 pediatric pulmonology and lung surgery program in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. Our team offers exceptional care for a wide range of pediatric lung conditions. From bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) to asthma and cystic fibrosis, we have specialized centers with expert teams and innovative treatment approaches. Our Pediatric Lung Transplant program is one of the most robust in the nation, one of only a few in the country capable of performing transplants on patients as small as 11 pounds. We are also one of the largest pediatric pulmonology programs, teaching the next generation of pulmonologists. Each year, our pulmonologists and specialists conduct nearly 40,000 patient visits and treat thousands of children from across the nation and around the world.

The Department of Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s provides specialized imaging services and image-guided therapies that contribute to the treatment of infants, children, teenagers and young adults. As one of the largest pediatric radiology departments in the United States, the department performs more than 200,000 imaging procedures each year. With multiple imaging locations throughout the greater Cincinnati area and through broad collaboration, the Department of Radiology helps ensure that patients receive timely, high-quality care and access to leading imaging expertise. Our team of pediatric radiologists emphasizes making imaging procedures safe, accurate and as comfortable as possible for our young patients. Our team also contributes significantly to multidisciplinary care of patients at Cincinnati Children’s.

Beyond caring for patients, the department has a significant research portfolio emphasizing development and validation of new imaging technologies, training and validation of artificial intelligence, and identification and validation of new imaging biomarkers. We also train future radiologists and pediatric radiologists as students, residents and fellows.

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in interpreting pediatric imaging studies and collaborating with clinical teams to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of childhood conditions.

The successful Pediatric Interventional Radiologist candidate will be board eligible/certified in radiology with fellowship training in interventional radiology or pediatric interventional radiology and have the ability to obtain a medical license in the State of Ohio. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in performing pediatric interventional procedures and collaborating with clinical teams to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of childhood conditions.
