Philips FD20 Catheterization Research Laboratory

The Philips FD20 AlluraClarity™ cath lab has a 20 x 20 cm flat detector mounted on a fully gimbaled C-arm. The system has high-end features that include the ability to generate cone beam CT images using gantry rotation as well as 3D rotational angiography, and automatic image registration of imported images from other modalities including CT, MR, and PET-CT. Furthermore, the system has a complete image processing package for quantitative measurements and segmentation of anatomical landmarks as well as perfusion measurements based on digital subtraction angiograms. The suite includes state-of-the art Canon ultrasound instrumentation for vascular and cardiac imaging including Doppler capability, ventilators and anesthesia equipment to support a variety of animal experiments. The cath lab is a BSL-2 capable facility that permits imaging of potentially infectious animals, and has a doorway leading directly to the 1.5 Tesla Ingenia™ MR imaging system.
