We Train Residents, Students in Environmental Health

The Environmental Health and Lead Clinic is a teaching clinic for medical students in Cincinnati.

The Environmental Health and Lead Clinic is a teaching clinic for medical students from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, pediatric residents from Cincinnati Children’s and occupational / environmental medicine residents from the University of Cincinnati.

The purpose of the rotation is:

  • To teach students and residents how to obtain a pediatric environmental health history
  • To learn how to assess the source of the child’s exposure
  • To learn about the management of illnesses because of common environmental exposures

Rotations typically last one to eight weeks, depending on the trainee.
