Cincinnati Fetal Center

  • Fetal and Maternal Research

Research drives new and innovative methods for treating fetal abnormalities and maternal health conditions associated with high-risk pregnancies. It leads to new procedures, improved health outcomes and new hope for mothers and babies facing high-risk pregnancy.

We are dedicated to the development of future cellular and molecular fetal therapies. The Center for Fetal Cellular and Molecular Therapy, part of the Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation, is the basic science research area for the Cincinnati Fetal Center. Our researchers are exploring the use of gene therapy for  untreatable conditions such as cystic fibrosis and placental insufficiency.

We are proud to be part of Cincinnati Children’s, which is ranked third among all pediatric centers receiving funding from the National Institutes of Health.
